From driving bulls in the Camargue to international competitions, Hervé found in Working Equitation a discipline where horse and rider have more fun together.
In 2020, we founded Working Equitation Academy to bring Hervé’s unique teaching method in front of a bigger audience. Since then, our online trainings have introduced over 900 riders (and counting) to Working Equitation.
The videos demonstrate techniques and exercises with horses and riders at various levels. We’re on a mission to show the world that Working Equitation is NOT just for an elite competing at high level - it is a discipline any rider can use to evolve in perfect harmony with their horse.

The Working Equitation Mastery course teaches Working Equitation as a sport and go in details in the 4 events of the sport, while Hervé Maurel’s Signature Training course is a training program designed to make you a better and more versatile rider - in Working Equitation, or any other discipline you’d like to take on.
The majority of our students opt to take the fundamental horse training course first, as Hervé Maurel’s signature training program will instantly make your horse training routine more efficient and more fun. It’s also the perfect preparation for the Working Equitation Mastery training.
Equestrians looking to perform or compete in Working Equitation can start with the Working Equitation Mastery course to get a deep understanding of the discipline - before tackling the exercises in the Fundamentals Training course.

Our courses do not teach basic riding. That means we expect all our students to be comfortable and safe in walk, trot, and canter - with a steady and supple contact.
However, we’re proud to say our courses are accessible at any stage beyond beginner: in the videos, Hervé demonstrates the exercises with riders and horses at different proficiency levels so you can easily see how you can implement them with your own horse.

While it’s great to have an experienced teacher in the ring with you, the right teacher is not always easy to find - let alone affordable. And even if you find the perfect person to train with, they won’t be with you every single day.
An online course allows you to watch the videos anytime; and if something isn’t clear or you run into an unexpected hurdle, we encourage you to ask questions so you can proceed with your training the next day.
Besides, you can always ask any questions you may have directly on the videos of the programs and get written answers.
